Get ready to fall in love with Illume vinyl terrazzo tiles

Bring the beauty of terrazzo into your home

Trendy yet timeless, but above all incredibly versatile – that’s the beauty of terrazzo. Combining all the benefits of our Alpha Vinyl range with one of today’s hottest design trends, the new Illume collection of vinyl terrazzo tiles adds comfort and terrazzo chic to any of your indoor spaces. And as an added bonus, you can check out our top tips to help you plan your new terrazzo interior.

What is terrazzo?

A luxurious polished composite of natural materials incorporating marble, granite or glass chips, these days the popular Italian speckled stone surfacing is everywhere. Strong and ultra-stylish, and with infinite colour options, terrazzo brings vibrancy, texture and a unique character to any space – no wonder designers adore it!

Illume terrazzo ticks all the boxes

And you’re sure to love it too! Practical, multifunctional, hardwearing yet very low maintenance: Illume terrazzo floors certainly tick all the boxes. What’s more, as well as being scratch and stain resistant, they are also extremely easy to install and maintain, thanks to our patented Uniclic system. And as an added bonus, thanks to their flecked design, even floors that are slightly less than clean will still look stunning.

The Illume terrazzo tiles feel softer and warmer underfoot than stone tiling, and are well suited for underfloor heating. Made in soft, neutral tones, and incorporating shells and small stones, our new Oyster Concrete and Pebble Concrete designs are both subtle and timeless.

Wondering what goes well with terrazzo? Here are 5 Illume terrazzo top tips:

  1. Your Illume terrazzo floor is the ideal partner for warm colours and tones to create interesting spaces and contrasts.

  2. Mix and match your floor with other organic materials in order to avoid terrazzo overload. For example, go for natural wood or timber, which looks great when paired with the soft, neutral shades of both Oyster Concrete and Pebble Concrete.

  3. Offset your terrazzo floor, for example, with a wooden countertop in your kitchen. You could even add a terrazzo splashback behind your sink to really top off the look.

  4. Let your terrazzo do the talking in your bathroom by creating a sense of space and contrast with plain walls and ceramic tiling.

  5. Thanks to its natural look, Illume terrazzo tiling looks great paired with brushed metal, silver or gold.
