Herringbone flooring

A modern classic in vinyl or hardwood

Herringbone flooring:
timeless quality

Elevate your interior to a whole new level. Think Versailles and the stately homes of the 17th century, when parquet first became all the rage. Let’s just say that the Herringbone pattern makes any room feel nothing short of majestic. Whether you explore our assortment of herringbone wood flooring or luxurious herringbone vinyl options, both have elegant beauty that perfectly balance old and new.

What is herringbone flooring?

The herringbone design is one of many types of flooring, where planks and squares are used to create a variety of eye-catching geometric patterns. It’s the distinctive off-set zig-zag of herringbone floors that sets them apart from the rest. The look is simple, yet elegant and interesting. Combining a classic style with a contemporary feel, it’s a sophisticated choice for any interior.

Herringbone or chevron - spot the difference?

Herringbone and chevron: at first glance they might look the same. And yes, they’re both geometric patterns made from angled planks.

In a herringbone floor, the rectangular planks are placed side to end, creating a staggered zig-zag effect.

Chevron flooring

Chevron pattern wood floor

In a chevron floor you can see really clear V shapes, because the ends of the planks have been cut at a 45° angle and fitted together to make a series of points.
