Can I install vinyl flooring on walls?

The answer is yes! A special partnership with Mapei has enabled Quick-Step to offer vinyl flooring solutions that have been extensively tested in a range of floor and wall covering applications.

Requirements and tips

• The substrate must be dry and dust-free.
• For all wall installations, use an appropriate adhesive (e.g. Mapei Ultrabond Eco MS 4 LVT/Wall).
• Spread the glue evenly across the wall to avoid blistering, as vinyl is a flexible product.
• If installing vinyl on the walls of wet areas, use a joint sealer (e.g. Mapei Mapecoat 4LVT).
• Ensure that the installation surface is stable and firm.

Wall installation is compatible with any of our Glue+ ranges of vinyl flooring solutions, as these have no click system and weigh less.

Mass of vinyl

• 4.5mm thickness with click: +/- 7.6 kg/m2
• 2.5mm thickness without click: +/- 4.2 kg/m2
