How to make a transition between floor types?

Transitioning between a wooden floor and one with tiles, carpet or laminate? These three steps will help you get the job done without hassle.

  1. First, decide where to install your profile. Take the base of your profile and cut it to size. Put it down where you want to make the transition. Use a small piece of profile to determine the exact position of the base.
  2. Attach the base to the floor with screws. Use the Incizo cutting tool to prepare your profile for use later on. Don’t forget to sand the edge after cutting.
  3. As you work towards this profile, make sure to keep 8-10 mm between the edge of the planks and the base of the profile. This will give the planks space to adapt to changes in humidity level. Now finish the installation of your floor.
  4. Finally, click the Incizo profile on its base to finish the installation.

To complete the job, you’ll need a Quick-Step Incizo profile and a saw.
